Blazing a brand’s path to their peak through strategic thinking & unique creative execution.

My binoculars have some SERIOUS focus!

I help businesses solve their challenges and grow through a strategy-heavy, brand-driven approach to marketing.

My approach is the culmination of 20+ years of starting and running businesses, working for businesses, and helping businesses grow through varying creative, marketing, and executive roles.

I understand operations and finance better than most creatives and marketers, and my creative and marketing work has mostly been for small businesses who can’t afford to spend money that doesn’t produce results. This has resulted in a desire for reason behind what we're producing creatively and the marketing decisions we're making. When every dollar counts, you're more deliberate in what you do. I'm not here to waste money.

Beyond my experiences, I'm shocked at how much money is spent on marketing with little or no return. This happens I believe because most businesses are only focusing on execution tactics – continuing to try this and that, without much thought as to why. They’re just throwing darts to see what sticks. I argue businesses should focus more on the strategy. The strategy provides the foundation for everything. And when done right, your marketing and sales has a greater probability of success.

“I had worked with 4 other Marketing/Brand agencies in the past and spent 100's of thousand of dollars with very little return if any to show for it. I had given up and was tired of throwing hard earned dollars at marketing and messaging that simply was not helping us. After deciding to work with Adam – we were able to build a messaging and marketing strategy that proved to produce results more than I have ever seen in the past. And more importantly I was proud of the work we had put together.”

This has shaped my beliefs into three core principles.

Your brand is the foundation for everything.

Any cracks or weak parts makes the success of your marketing and sales efforts more challenging. Having trouble growing? It’s probably a branding problem. It could be the audience you’re targeting. How you’re positioned in comparison to your competition. Your brand presentation. The language around your core offerings. The messaging your marketing and your sales team are using isn’t aligned. Or a disconnected understanding of the vision for your business. Whether you’re a new business getting ready to launch, or an existing business whose growth has stalled, this is where we start. And if you’re an existing business doing well, your brand will continue to be the center of everything we do.

A strong brand:
  • Helps you stand out
  • Connects with your target audience
  • Aligns team communications
  • Creates a memorable impression
  • Pre-qualifies leads
  • Tells your story in a compelling manner
  • Makes all marketing & sales efforts more effective

Your strategy guides your creative & marketing output.

It provides the reasoning behind a color, the action we’re aiming for a website visitor to take, this month’s social posts, how much budget you’re allocating for a marketing tactic, the hierarchy and structure of a webpage’s content, the subject of a photograph, and the core message of an ad. Strategic planning is too often skipped or shortcutted with creative work. Not here! I’m going to ask a lot of questions, use AI selectively for supportive research and concept interrogation (not final execution), flush out thoughtful plans and detailed outlines, all in an effort to give what we’re creating a greater probability of success and to ensure it’s aligned with the greater picture of the goals you’re trying to reach and the plan for how to get there.

A strong strategy:
  • Defines the problem we’re solving
  • Identifies the solution
  • Presents the roadmap
  • Establishes the foundation
  • Aligns the team
  • Ensures consistency across all marketing and sales efforts
  • Increases the probability for success

Operations, marketing, & sales need to be aligned.

Too often I find these three departments siloed. They shouldn’t be. Among many different actions: Operations is building your offerings and defining price points. Marketing is building your messaging and defining audiences. Sales is building your relationships and defining revenue. If these three units are not aligned and supporting each other your business will run into a lot more challenges achieving your vision and reaching your goals. I make sure these departments are integrated together where appropriate and when necessary, utilizing information and resources from each other to create cohesion and elevate what you're offering and presenting to the public.

A strong aligned team:
  • Works together to maximize actions
  • Decreases your customer acquisition cost
  • Produces more new business and retains more customers
  • Ensures your offerings and pricing are aligned with the audience you’re targeting
  • Presents a more memorable case for your audience to choose you
  • Eliminates confusion
  • Reduces go-to-market challenges

The process

Being creative involves tapping into one's imagination. This is a place where anything and everything is possible. Ideas are thought up. A directive is made to execute. And the team gets to work implementing the idea. Will it work? Time will tell. Marketing is an ongoing experiment. But, what if we had a way to increase the probability of success? I believe we do, when we follow these steps:

1. Discover

We learn what you think your needs are.

2. Analyze

We learn what your needs really are and draft a high-level initial plan of attack.

3. Create Strategy

We flush out the solution.

4. Develop Plan

We map out our actions.

5. Execute

We implement.

6. Track Results

We analyze the data.

7. If Results Are Positive

We continue moving forward with the plan.

8. If Results Are Negative

We revisit the strategy, adapt the plan, and execute.
